Mitchell Holiday Blogging WLJ #7

Hello blog viewers today is day 7 the last day of the blogging week. Today's post will be about people with disabilities who compete in the Olympics.

Activity 1: If I was competing in the 2016 Paralympics I would have to choose someone to compete with. I would pick my mum. She is trustworthy and reliable.

Activity 2: It is very unaffordable for  athletes to pay to fly over. They need the MONEY!!!
Here are 2 ways I would do to fundraise for these athletes

. Everyday I would hold a $5 carwash for every car who needs cleaning including vacuuming inside their car that way $5 per car could go to an higher price

. I would sell street food on the road for as well $5. It would be Delicious food for anyone hungry and would sure.

Bonus: If I were to be in the Paralympic committee and I was asked to make up an new sport I would name mine Hit It. The aim of the is to hit the ball on the pole in the center of the court. Team members have to pass to each other in order for their team to win. For the deaf others can do hand signals to know they are passing to them. For the blind an person who is not disabled can be on their side as they play. Here are 3 rules.

. You cannot Hit the ball on the pole if you are close to it. You have to be five meters away.
. You are not allowed to throw the ball to an blind person when they don't know you are passing to them.
.  You can only move when you are catching the ball.

Mitchell Holiday Blogging WLJ #6

Hello blog viewers. Today is day 6 of the WLJ. Here are my posts for today.

Activity 1: I am asked to create an order of Olympic uniforms from NZ used in the past.

# 1: Olympic Uniform 2012.
I think this one was more professional and suited the look. This is an well representative uniform.

# 2 : Olympic Uniform 2004.
This uniform looks good on the people wearing it. It is very comfortable looking.

# 3 : Olympic Uniform 2008. This uniform has no detail to it. It has a fern printed on the shirts but still does not have any detail or more designs.

Activity 2 : If I was to pick a group of people to represent NZ at the Olympics one of them I would pick from that group would be Shaun Johnson. I would pick him because he is a very good league player and he is a world wide player. That's why I pick him.

Bonus : If I were to imagine that I was sitting in the crowd of this years Olympics and NZ athletes started to walk around because the ceremony has just started and I was watching and watching and then all of a sudden...NZ just came barging on the field running away like cats. The crowd goes wild. They run to the crowd and shout go NZ. Everyone does. They celebrate by going up to the cameras and go on live TV and give shout outs to their friends. Everyone in NZ goes out on the streets and yell out go NZ. That is my story if that were to happen.

Mitchell Holiday Blogging WLJ #5

Hello blog viewers today I will be posting up the tasks for day 5 Eddie the eagle.

Activity 1: I have just watched the trailer of Eddie the Eagle. The movie talks about how Eddie wants to achieve his dreams but other people in his life tell him constantly he cannot participate but in the end somehow he did.

Activity 2: Marjorie Gestring was a world Olympic winner. She was the youngest person ever to win a gold medal. Being 13 must have been hard against others older than her. Here are 5 questions I would ask her if I were to meet her.

. Were you nervous?

. Did you think you were going to win?

. What was your reaction when you had won gold medal prize?

. Was it easy?

. Did you have fun?

Bonus: Jesse Owens participated in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Berlin is an place located in Germany. Around that time Adolf Hitler did not allow any dark skinned people to compete in the Olympics. But that did not stop Jesse Owens. He has inspired people to be just like him.

People in my life who inspire me is my family. My mum, dad, uncles,
aunties, cousins support me in whatever. All of us support each other in anything. They inspire me
to be kind to others.

Mitchell Holiday Blogging WLJ #4

Hello blog viewers today the activity is called #Be the Inspiration. Here are the activities.

Activity 1: l have chosen one of the athletes on the Rio Olympics 2016 website. I chose Scott Curry. He is a Rugby Sevens player for New Zealand. Here are 3 facts about him.

. He was born on May 17th 1988
. He grew up in Rotorua
. He was a All Black Player

Activity 2: If I had to choose one of the three athletes that were chosen on the website I would pick Andrea Kilday. I would meet her so she could teach me some taekwondo.

Bonus: The movie Be the Inspiration was excellent. What I liked about the movie is that it talked about New Zealanders inspiring athletes to go and compete on the Olympics. What I didn't like about the video was nothing. I liked everything. I would rate it ***** stars.

Mitchell Holiday Blogging WLJ #2

Hello blog viewers today I'll be doing 2 activities that include posting up tasks on my blog.

Activity 1: I will be summarising episode 2 of Tom and Vinicius.

They both appear in the middle of the forest.

They both look for somewhere to stay but they fail.

Tom finds an birdhouse and has an brilliant idea.

They build a 2 story tree house along with a slide.

Sleeping on their beds is uncomfortable for them.

Activity 2: I will be naming 3 famous NZ landmarks along with a description and a saying of why it is famous in my opinion.

1. Sky Tower - Being NZ's tallest tower puts this structure known as the tallest man made tower ever built in the Southern Hemisphere. It also below has Skycity full of restraunts and casinos.

2. Volcano Taupo - Polynesia's only super volcano has caused Taupo to create a massive lake that surrounds it being a caldera in NZ makes it unique and famous.

3. Rainbows End - NZ's only theme park out stands from the rest. It has magnificent rides that fill people up with enjoyment.

Bonus - Here is my logo I have created thanks to Design Mantic. This logo had a 4 sports that will be participating in this year's Olympics.

Mitchell Holiday Blogging WLJ #1

Good Morning blog viewers. Today the Winter learning journey has started. I am so excited and looking forward to writing more posts.

Activity 1: If I were to imagine that I was invited to the first ever Olympics Games I would participate in the sports of wrestling. The reason why I have chosen the wrestling is because it is like rugby you can tackle them down to the ground. Wrestling back then would be different day in the wrestling they play these days. If your opponent wants to stop they have to admit and that's how you have won.

Activity 2 : Instead of gold medals they would have a Palm leaf Placed to their hand with a crown showing that they were a winner. Milo of Kroton would always win. Here are some fun facts about this champion

. He had won the wrestling games over 6 times
. He was born in Crotone,Italy
. He is a 6 century winner of the Olympic Games

Bonus: Back in the old days in Olympia girls were not allowed to watch or participate in the  Olympics. Why is that? Do you think this is fair? I think girls back in the day should not participate or watch the Olympics because back then men used to play the sports naked and it would be inappropriate for girls to watch.
