Hey Bloggers! Today we had another opportunity to experience Swift Playground, a coding app you can download on a mobile device. We had to code and talk about the different kinds of commands such as : loop and function's.

A function is a piece of code that you can easily command or control over and over again repeatedly. It includes the specific instructions that are performed when coding.

A loop is a block that runs a number of code over and over again for a set of times you can specifically choose.

We pretended to be a block of loop and do a number of things at a set of times such as doing the Macarena Dance 4 times in a row. This helped us to experience what a loop block in Code is like.

You can explore more at Swift Playground on the App Store.

Thanks for reading!

Swift Playground - Extension

Hi Bloggers. Today at Extension we had the opportunity to experience the coding of Swift Playground.  Swift Playground is a coding app you can download on any mobile device or an ipad. We used an ipad! We first opened up Swift Playground and choose a level to complete. It was named “Bug Squash Practice”. I used it with my friend Kyron. We then figured out the code for the avatar to collect the gem to complete the next level.

There was a set of code for us to complete it. Turn Left, Collect Gem, Toggle Switch, Move Forward. Toggle Switch was for you to jump on a button which gives you points. Not only that but we decided to code our friends, recording with ipads and telling them what to do to find something you have hidden in the room.

It was a good challenge. The most difficult part about using Swift Playground was that there was limited moves of code so in order to turn right you had to press Turn Left about 3 - 4 times. The most fun part about doing it was figuring out how to code it.
