Holiday Blogging #2 - Travel Experiences/Ratings

Hey bloggers! Today I'm going to tell you about some recent Travel Experiences!
Recently I just finished travelling from Hawaii and The United States! I have also recently travelled to Seattle, Washington which was amazing! And I also travelled to Honolulu and Hilo, Hawaii!

My flight took place on the 30th of August 2017 and I came back on the 15th of September. Anyways me and some family members flew on Hawaiian Airlines which was amazing.

Honolulu International Airport!

The flight took 8 hours straight from Auckland, New Zealand to Honolulu, Hawaii! It was a good flight! I also get plane-sick on flights that take more than 5 hours, have a lot of plan turbulence, and also have a rough landing which results to the flight I took and it was really boring!

Ratings for Hawaiian Airlines!

Flight Attendant Personality - The flight attendants were very kind-hearted people! They served us with kindness and heaps more! There was also a very nice lady who was always smiling! She was really kind! I would rate the Flight Attendants from Hawaiian Airlines - 9/10

Food - Now let's talk about the food! The first meal of the flight was in the first 1 or 2 hours of the flight! It was a light meal with an sandwich, fruit, water, vegetables, snacks and juice! It tasted really weird because we were in the air so I would rate the airplane food - 6 & 1/2 /10. On the way back to Auckland we ate Curry and Rice which was so good! I would rate it 10/101

Comfort - Comfortability! Now the seats we were sitting on were great! But some things were uncomfortable! First of all we did have travel pillows which were very comfortable and made our head and neck very comforting! Well the seat and the back-rest was very hard and was sore to sit on but we did have pillows and just sat on that! I would rate it and - 7/10

Entertainment - When we sat down in our seats we had screens in front of us! They were just behind the seat in front of you, when you sat down! They had Movies, TV Shows, Music, Games and even an app where you could see where the plane is. We flew past Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Guam, Cook Islands, Easter Island and all the other Pacific Islands! I would rate it an - 10/10

Mitchell's movie review - Hidden Figures || 2017

Hello bloggers! Yesterday the Year 7 & 8 extension group had the opportunity to attend the Sylvia Park movie cinemas to watch the new 2017 movie Hidden Figures. The movie is about 3 African - American women who work with NASA, they are part of a group who are behind one of the greatest operations in history! So on Wednesday morning we went off to the movies!

At the movies we bought some popcorn,lollies and drinks. While we were waiting we were watching the movie trailers that were playing on the big screen that everyone could see when the walked into the movies. Finally it hit 10:40 and the doors to go inside the theatre were open. We slowly walked in, well we weren't allowed to run. Woohoo! It was only the extension group and a elderly couple who were watching the movie!

A few ads played while we were waiting for the movie. They were really funny! After a few minutes it was 11:00 and the movie started playing. Everyone was so excited and ready to view the spectacular movie Hidden Figures.

It would have been my 2nd time I would have watched the movie Hidden Figure so I wasnt really surprised. Plus I got the seat that was right in the middle which was awesome! It took about 2 hours from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. In the movie theatre it was really quiet, all you could hear was the movie and eating sounds from people eating popcorn.

Review - Hidden Figures : This is my review from the Hidden figure movie. Likes: What I liked about the movie was that it told the racism stories about what happened back in the old days so people these days know that it is wrong and disrespectful and they do not copy what was done like in the 1900s. Dislikes: What I didn't like about the movie was that the movie was set in the same places. It could have been set in a few other settings/backrounds. What they should improve on: The movie makers should improve on making the movie more entertaining for all age groups.

Year 5 & 6 Camp Review

The blog that I reviewed was Samoa's. Here is the link to her blog Samoa Blog Retell. On her first slide she talked about the Year 5 kids coming to camp for the first time. She also talked about Parents and Teachers who volunteered to cook and make breakfast,lunch and dinner for all the campers.

On her second slide she talked about what camp groups there were at camp. All the camp groups had to start with the word Kind under our topic Make Kindness go Viral. She told the audience the names and the meanings on the group. She also told us who were the leaders of the group and the teacher.

Her third slide was about her group the Kindonators. She talked about her being leaders with Ajani and their teachers Mr Somerville and Miss West. She said that her group was awesome and they picked the Song wake me up before you go. They copied some dance moves off Just Dance.

The 4th slide she talked about the cool Camp Activities everyone did. She talked about the Activity Killing Fields or in Nicer words Top town. In her paragrapgh she said that they had to fight with water balloons in a square and if they touched the ground the would be out of the game.

The 5th slide was about everyone's amazing trip to Papakura Pools. She said that their was an Indoor and Outdoor pool and said that their was a Warm and Cold Pool. She said that the inside pool had a button and when you press the button it would make very big Waves.

Slide 6 was about our Camp Concert. In her paragraph she said that all of the camp groups was very cool and had very cool songs to play and very cool dance moves. She also said who came 1st , 2nd and 3rd in our whole camp groups.

Her last slide was a big thank you to everyone who helped out to all of the teachers who volunteered to help out. Thank you for reading my review.,
