Mitchell's Holiday

During the school holidays i did a lot of stuff. Straight after school i walked home with my sisters. Then i ran to my bed because i was so tired. After my mum and dad finished work we went to mission bay. We played on the beach with the sand and the shells. Then we crossed the road to go to the shops to buy ice cream. It was so yummy. Then we went back to the beach and ate our ice cream. After that we went back home and we watched a movie. The movie was Oz the great and powerful. I watched part of it and then went to sleep.

The next day we stayed home and did a lovo. In fijian lovo means an underground stove.I stayed home waiting for my dad. He went to go get some banana leaves for the lovo. Some of my uncles and aunties came and my cousins came. My grandparents came to my house too to come and eat. Before everyone came i helped my dad set it up. My dad put rocks around the fire and was getting it ready. I went to the car to go to the car to get the banana leaves to wrap all the food up with the foil inside.

I went to go get the meat from the fridge. The meat was wrapped up in foil so then we can wrap it up in the banana leaves and then burn it in the fire. I went to give the meat to my dad and he wrapped it up with the banana leaves. My mum quickly went to the shop to go buy coconut  cream to put on all the meat. Then she came back and gave it to my dad. My dad put the coconut cream all over the meat. It looked so delicious. Then my dad put all the meat in the fire to heat it up. There was smoke  everywhere.

Then later on everyone was coming to my house. I helped my dad take out the meat out of the banana leaves and put it in big bowls. Everyone was hungry. We all prayed and then went to eat. It was so yummy. Then we went to put some juice in the drink dispenser so everyone could have a drink. Also it was my grandpas birthday. So we went to go get some cake. The cake looked so delicious. But i didn’t eat any cake. I went to the park with my cousin leila and my sisters. Then we came back home and we saw all the cake finished.

Then everyone was going. I said bye to everyone and then they left. The next day i stayed home. Then we went to go pick Ryan up from his house. Ryan was having a sleepover at my house. We went to countdown to go shopping. Me and ryan helped my mum go shopping. After we went shopping we went back home. We were playing minecraft on my tablet. We were playing outside and then went to go eat on the outdoor table. We went inside to go play games on my computer. Then we went to the shop to buy some lollies.

We walked to the shop to buy some lollies. When we came back it was getting dark. We were getting our pillows and blankets ready in the lounge and went to our couches then we were watching a movie on the tv. Then i fell asleep and ryan and my sisters were still watching the movie. The next day i stayed home with ryan and my sisters and my mum and dad. Then ryan went with his mum and dad in the car. Ryan was going back to kenya. I said bye to him and then he left in his car.

Then i went to drama.

We practiced the ailao with the sticks until 2:00. Then we went swimming. The whole drama group went swimming. I went to get changed and then went swimming. The water was so cold. We were in the cold water for so long. Then finally we went in the warm water. It was soooo warm. Then we left the pools. Me and my sister walked home. Then we were playing with our little baby cousin Eli. He is so cute. He was playing with my dog clifford. He was screaming because he thought my dog was going to bite him.

Then on saturday i went roller skating. Roller skating was so fun. I went with my whole family. Me and my sisters and my mum and dad went skating. My dad kept falling down. He didn’t know how to skate. I teached him how to skate. We stayed there for 3 hours because at 4:00 my mum and dad were working at rainbows end. Our nana looked after us at home. We went to church the next day. My sister went to sunday school and me and my 2 other sisters didn’t want to go to sunday school.

We were singing and reading the bible. My mum and dad were working. After church all of us from church went to Valentines. We went there to go eat lunch. For lunch i had chips with mayonnaise. It was so yummy. Then i had dessert. For dessert i had peaches. That was yummy. I had it with hot chocolate. It was so yummy. Then we left to go home cause we were so tired. We watched a movie then fell asleep.The next day at night time my family went to skycity to go celebrate my auntys graduation. We went to go have dinner.

For dinner i had sushi and pizza and some other things. Then after i quickly finished my dinner i ran straight to go get some dessert. The dessert was so yummy. I had chocolate ice-cream cake and some lollies with some vanilla ice-cream. It was so yummy i went back to go get some chocolate ice-cream cake. It was delicious. Everyone went to go get drinks. I went to get my drink. I was drinking coke. Then everyone was finishing their dessert. So we were going to leave. Everyone left and said bye.

We went to go find our car. There was this touch screen tv to find your car. It said type in your number plate. I typed in my number plate for my car. Then i saw my car. I touched it and it showed us the directions to our car. That was so cool. We went to our car and drove home. We went home and went to go to sleep. The day after that we stayed home and watched tv. When it was dark we went to go drop my mum off to work. She was working at vector arena for the Ricky Martin concert. When we dropped her off we went with our dad to get some pizza.

After we finished our pizza we went home to watch a movie. We were falling asleep. The movie nearly finished and then we went to sleep. When it was still dark at 10:00 we went to go pick up my mum. It was cold outside. I was so tired. We picked up my mum and then went straight back home. I went in my bed to go wrap my blanket around me. I was so warm then i fell asleep. The next day was school i got ready for school. I was ready for the first day of school. I was so excited to go back to school. The End.

Mitchell Year 5 and 6 Camp

On Wednesday morning i got changed into my mufti clothes and rushed to school because it was the first day of camp for the Year 5 and 6. I was so excited. I ran to the hall to tell Mr Baxendine that my mum would drop my stuff off at morning tea. Everyone had all their bags in the hall.

My mum helped in the morning getting all the stuff ready for camp today. When the bell rang we sat down in our lines. We got into our group lines. My group was True Crew. It was the best group than all of the other groups cause we had lots of points. My teacher for my group was Mr Baxendine. He was the best Camp group teacher out of all of the teachers.

They told us where to sit. Then they told what was our first activity. My first activity was Top town. We had these wooden boards to stand on and was not allowed to touch the grass.

We had to pass the board all the way to the front so the people in the front would put it in front of them and stand on it and we kept on doing it until we got all the way to the end. The end was orange cones and we had to try beat the other team to our cones to finish the race. The other team came first but we still had to do some other activities. We had to fill up some water balloons cause we were going to do a water balloon fight. I only got wet on my legs but not on my clothes i thought i was gonna get wet everywhere but i didnt. Then we went to the ski run.

The ski run was kind of hard because you had to put your feet on the ground at the same time as the person in front of you but it was kind of easy for me. You have to hold on to the persons shoulder in front of you so it would be easier. Then after that we went to the slingshot. We had tennis balls to throw to the people that was trying to catch it. 2 people had to try catch it and if they did not catch it we do not get 1 point

We needed 15 points to finish it. We had turns putting the ball in the slingshot. Then we went to the gumboot throw. We had to try get 15 points too. We kept throwing gumboots on the mat. There was a little pink gumboot. It was easy to throw because it was so little. Then we ran to our flag to put it up. Then we sang our chant. 2468 who do we appreciate not the queen not the king its all about the true crew. We finished top town.

We got 100 points for teamwork and participation. Then we went to another challenge. We went to the amazing race. The amazing race was my favourite. We had ipads to record the challenges that we have done. We ran to these black cardboard boxes and opened it. It had a piece of paper inside and we read the paper to see what we had to do. One person had to record us doing the challenge. Our first challenge was really hard.

We had to get these wooden things and roll it on these rolling things. The whole team had to get on the board and then try get to the other side in between the cones. We did that one and recorded it. Our next one was on the bottom field. We had to try flip the sheet with our feet without touching the ground or else you were out. We did it and recorded it. The next one was in the breeze. 2 people painted their faces and the other people in your team dressed up. I dressed up with these big as sunglasses and this really black hat with silver glitter on it.

We had to take pictures of the people that were dressed up and the people that were painting their faces had to take a video of them painting your face. Then we went on the field. Our next one was throwing balls in the hula hoops. Each throw was 2 points and we had to get 100 points it was taking a long time. I was the person who was recording. After that it was lunch time. I was so tired. We had cookies and milk. It was yum. Then we went to the pools to go have a swim because we were all hot.

After that we had free time at school. All of us were in our tents, playing sports, playing handball,and playing on the park. Then it was getting dark. We had dinner then brushed our teeth. Then we went to go watch a movie. The movie was the lego movie. It was so long. Then we went to sleep. The next day we had breakfast and then went to go brush our teeth and get our togs ready to go swimming. We went to go swimming at the gi pools.

It was really fun. Then we went rollerblading and playing ping pong and basketball in the hall. Some of us were practicing the dance moves. I was on the roller blades because it was my favourite. After that we went to practice our dance. It was so easy. Then the boys went to the field. We went on the field to go make corn fritters with Whaea Saf. It was so yummy. We were singing and dancing with the rakau. Then we had lunch. Then we were getting ready for the Concert.

The concert was at night time. We all had dinner and went to the hall. We all did our performances. The true crew which was my team performed last. We had glow in the dark bracelets. It was so fun. Then the next day we had breakfast then we were packing our stuff and went to the year five and six area. We were talking and then we went to go home. Camp was so fun. By Mitchell.

Mitchell Best Birthday ever

My Best Birthday Ever!

One of my best birthdays was when i turned 9 years old. I went to Rainbows End with my whole family and i went with Simon too. First we went on the Pirate ship. We had to hold on to these bars and then the lady started the ride. We went up and down. I had butterflies.

The next ride was Invader. It was fun. I kept on turning around in my chair. It was kind of scary. It hurt my back because there were no seat belts. I went up in the air it was so cool. Then i went on the Gold Rush. The Gold rush was a very long line to wait. Finally me and Simon got to the front of the line.

It was so fast it was so scary. We were screaming and everyone could hear us. Finally we were at the end. We ran straight away to the Log Flume. The Log flume was so fun. It was a rainy day. We got wet all over our clothes. We couldn’t wait until we got under shelter. But the most scary part was at the end of the ride.

We were freaking out and went straight down the waterfall and got wet everywhere.

We went to go look at our photos they took while we went down the waterfall. We looked closely at our faces. We looked like we were going to fall off. It was so fun.

After that we were so tired. Our clothes were getting dry. We went on the bumper cars.

The Bumper cars were hard for me to drive.

I wanted to get out of the bumper car straight away. I kept on bumping into other cars and was going the wrong way. I wanted to go the dinosaur ride straight away. It was a short line so we were just waiting for a short time. Then we got to go on the ride. We put on 3D glasses and our chairs we were sitting on were moving.

It was so fun. Then we went to Kidz kingdom. There were rides for little kids there. Then it was getting dark and we left. That day was really fun. When it was night time we went to a restaurant in mission bay. The food was so yummy. We had traffic light drinks. They were so cool. Then we went to go get frozen yogurt.

I had vanilla flavour with peanuts caramel sauce and some lollies. It was so fun and then we dropped Simon off home. I went home and was so tired. I had some leftover cake from the fridge. Then i went to the lounge with my family and watched a movie. It was Cats and Dogs.

My mum gave me my present and it was a Samsung Tablet. I downloaded lots of games on my tablet. It was her old phone but she brought a new phone and she gave her Tablet to me. I was so happy. I was so tired after that i fell asleep at 10:30.
