Last term our school focus was “Guardians of the Galaxy”. Well our Year 7 & 8 extension group with Zoe from OMG Tech, decided to make some Makey Makey projects. We had the choice to choose to make a Game Show, A Musical Band, or make a game for disabled people. Our group - ( Me, Simon, Noah, and Kyron) decided to attempt to make a mini game show using Scratch and Makey Makey. So we started! We started to get stuff ready out of the suitcase that Zoe had bought with supplies.

We logged onto Scratch using our own accounts and started to make a mini scratch game. I made the title, the slides, and the questions for the game. I
left for a few weeks, and when I came back they built the Makey Makey layout, the cardboard was set up and also their was play-dough too, so we were already to go! We named the game show with our initials - MNSK Game Show and had different questions. The questions were very simple and easy to think of for our game.

We got given a booklet which had instructions and simple steps on how to make a game show with Scratch also using Makey-Makey. It had steps which showed us how to make a simple quiz game, how to code it and what kind of questions. The questions asked on the game show were : What was the capital of Turkey, What is the most spoken language in the world and a lot more interesting questions. Our questions were also based on things that were currently happening in the world.

The cardboard bits and pieces were wrapped with metal aluminium foil so it gave a better effect for the electricity circuit to work with the buzzers. The others made a small compact buzzer using some play-dough and shaped it liked a buzzer. They connected it with makey-makey wires and also had an earth to beep the buzzer. We chose the sound effects for an buzzer and played it when the buzzer was triggered. We had them hold the earth cords in their hand.
